Gold is a fun, funny, self-aware parody of minigame collections that holds up as well as the original Mega Microgames! does. We’re into the return to the series’ roots, filled with the franchise’s hilarious characters and even a talking Wario for the first time. on Nintendo DS, a game that launched almost 10 years ago. It’s also arguably the first one worth playing since WarioWare : D.I.Y. WarioWare Gold is the first entry in the series since 2013’s lackluster Game and Wario for Wii U. But the Nintendo 3DS is still out there, scratching and surviving, and this week’s set of new releases is a reminder of the handheld’s persistence. It seems like the logical, helpful thing to do - Nintendo’s thrown its might behind the system, and numerous third-parties have come along for the ride.
